Laura van de Laar, MD
Laura van de Laar, MD is an otolaryngologist who is fellowship trained in sinus and skull base surgery. While born in Canada, she moved to the Houston area as a child and considers Houston home.
Dr. van de Laar attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate degree and graduated summa cum laude.
She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
She remained at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for her Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency training and was named “Resident of the Year” three years in a row, including her final year of residency.
From there she sought additional specialty training, completing the Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Dr. van de Laar practices both adult and pediatric general otolaryngology, with a special focus on sinus and skull base surgery, including primary and revision sinus surgery, complex frontal sinus disease, sinonasal cerebrospinal fluid leak repairs, and sinonasal tumors.
