Schedule Your Pillar Procedure at Our Clear Lake ENT Clinic

Chronic snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) affect thousands of people each year, and unfortunately, many people never seek treatment for either condition. They try various methods to stop their snoring or remedy their sleep apnea, but the condition either stays the same or gets worse. At our ENT clinic in Clear Lake, we effectively treat snoring and sleep apnea with a minimally invasive operation known as the Pillar Procedure.

The Pillar Procedure is relatively painless, and patient discomfort is usually kept to a minimum. Our ENT specialist will use a small tool to insert three small polyester implants into the soft palate. The palate is then stiffened as the body's natural fibrotic response integrates the implants into the tissue. This keeps the airway from closing as much during the night, and reduces the vibrations that cause snoring and OSA. The Pillar Procedure is an outpatient treatment, and shouldn't take more than 20 to 30 minutes to complete. It's the perfect alternative to continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines, sleep masks, and other apparatus that can be just as annoying as dealing with snoring or sleep apnea.

If you're interested in this procedure, or you'd like to learn about other ENT treatments that can help with snoring or OSA, please contact us right away. You can schedule an initial consultation at our Clear Lake clinic, and a doctor will determine whether or not the Pillar Procedure is a viable option. Above all, we want to meet your needs and provide results for your condition.
