By Houston ENT & Allergy

When you move to a new city, there are many things you have to get used to and adjustments you have to make. Finding the quickest route to work and figuring out where the closest grocery store is are just a couple of the things you have to learn quickly. But what about your allergies? Coming to a state like Texas, there are different allergens in the air, and while you may not have been sensitive to them in your previous city, now that you're in Houston, you could experience problems. At Houston ENT & Allergy, we've helped many new residents adjust to their new surroundings.

We've written before about ragweed and the problems it can present to Houston residents, especially during the fall months, and at our Town & Country location, we can provide allergy treatment and medication for those that have just moved here and have found ragweed sensitivity to be an issue. While you were glad to leave your old city and the allergens it presented, it's important to be prepared for the Texas climate and its allergens. You may only be here for a short time, perhaps on work assignment, but if you plan to travel back and forth between Houston and another city, it's smart to have medications and treatment plans for both locations.

At Houston ENT & Allergy, we love meeting new residents and helping them overcome their allergy issues. We understand the Texas climate and problems it can present, and the doctors and staff at our Town and Country location are more than happy to speak with you about your options.
