Many people have pets, and are able to live with their animals without worrying about sneezing due to fur and pet dander. However, if you're someone that is sensitive to pet dander, it can be difficult to be in a home with pets, or have pets of your own. People that are highly allergic to animals can experience symptoms within 15 minutes of exposure, and reactions can be severe if a person isn't already taking medication for their allergies. While others may not have any reaction, those that suffer from asthma or rhinitis are more susceptible to reactions brought on by pet dander. Reactions may only be triggered by certain animals, such as cats, and it's important to know what type of pet dander will cause you to react.
